Courses
LENT COURSE
We will follow the York Course in two parallel cycles on Sundays and Tuesdays (apart from the week of the PCC Meeting when we meet on the Monday*). The York Courses originated from when our former bishop, David Hope, was Archbishop of York.
Note these dates in your diary:
First Session: Sunday, February 26th & Tuesday, February 28th
Second Session: Sunday, March 4th & Tuesday, March 6th
Third Session: Sunday, March 11th & Monday, March 12th
Fourth Session: Sunday, March 18th & Tuesday, March 20th
Fifth Session: Sunday, March 25th & Tuesday, March 27th
For the Sunday sessions, we will meet at the West End of the Church directly after the 8 a.m. Eucharist. A light breakfast will be provided.
For the weekday sessions, we will meet at the West End of the Church and there will be light refreshments at 7.45 p.m. followed by a meeting from 8 – 9 p.m.
During the meetings, we will listen to a discussion and then share our own reactions to the discussion and the booklet that accompanies the course. Everyone attending will be given their own booklet, which they can read in advance of the next meeting. Booklets will be available for those wanting to participate before the course begins.
