Sundays 17th June, and 24th June, 6.30 p.m: Choral Evensong. The music at Choral Evensong will feature music which the choir will be performing during their residency at St David’s Cathedral in August. Anthems will include Parry Blest Pair of Sirens (17th June) and Gibbons This is the Record of John (24th June).

Friday 22nd June, 6.30 p.m.  Choral Evensong with the Junior Choristers, which replaces the 5.30 p.m. said service.

Sunday 1st July, 11.30 a.m.  Christ Church, Southgate
A History of Venice Talk by Richard and Timothy Brain.
As preparation for the Choir’s tour to Venice next year Director of Music Richard and his father Timothy will be giving a talk on the history of Venice. The city of Venice has a fascinating tale to tell from its earliest days as a swampy retreat for its embattled inhabitants, to the high glory days of the Venetian Republic. Timothy and Richard both read History at University, and Dr Brain now regularly gives talks all over the country as a police academic.
Tickets will be £5 in aid of the Choir Tour Fund (under 18’s free) and will be available from Richard at

Sunday 15 July, 5 p.m.: Choir Summer Concert.
Members of the choir will once again be showcasing their individual musical talents for their informal summer concert. There will be a mix of solo instrumental and solo items as well as some full choir pieces as well.

Friday 24th – Monday 27th August.  St David’s Cathedral
The Choir will be singing in the Cathedral every day, contributing to the daily cycle of prayer.  Music to include Sir Hubert Parry’s Blest pair of Sirens and Mozart’s Coronation Mass.

Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd September: Open House weekend  Christ Church Southgate
The Church will be open on Saturday 2-5 pm and Sunday 12.-4 pm. Guided tours on the hour.  Refreshments available

“Sing Joyfully”
Join the Choir of Christ Church Southgate and The Enfield Community Singers for a tea time treat of classic songs from the last 500 years up to the present day. This concert has something for everyone!

Entry free with a retiring collection

Saturday 16th – Wednesday 20th February 2019. Venice
The Choir will be singing the Midday Holy Mass at St Mark’s Basilica on Sunday 17th followed by a mix of services and concerts in several other prestigious venues.
