This Week’s Notices

Congregation Questionnaire 2018.  At the back of church are questionnaires to find out your views on what we could offer the community as outreach, how we should develop our website, as well as an opportunity to offer your time and talents to the church.  Please take one and give it careful consideration as it will help to shape our future.  If you have already taken one, please return it sooner rather than later.  Many thanks from Fr Chrichton.

Prison Fellowship and the Angel Tree project: Many thanks to all who have taken a tag, which have now all gone.  Please could you return your gifts soon, ideally today, as they are being delivered on Tuesday 4th.  Please remember to mark the gift with the personal code.  If you would still like to contribute to this important work, please see Hilary Meur, as the SRC have bought the last few presents to make sure every child receives one.

Christmas Raffle (including a Hamper):  Tickets cost £2 a strip at the back of church.  The SRC’s chosen charity this year is The Clink: their aim is to reduce reoffending rates of ex-offenders.  The charity works with HM’s Prison & Probation Service to train and give skill to aid their rehabilitation.  The Clink restaurants give prisoners the opportunity to take their first steps towards a new life.

Christmas Flowers: If anyone would like to sponsor the Christmas flowers, either in memory of someone or to celebrate a special occasion please complete the sheet at the back of the church.  Many thanks.

Advent App.  Bishop Sarah has launched a new app for Advent with Christian publisher SPCK:  The app contains Bishop Sarah’s chapter on A Good Advent, as taken from A Good Year, edited by Mark Oakley, and also brilliant daily meditations written by Dr Jane Williams to help you keep the season of watching and waiting.
