Tuesday 23rd January: PCC Meeting at 8 p.m. following the 7.30 p.m. Eucharist.

Thursday 25th January: Prayer Group meets 2 p.m. at 64 The Greenway.

Friday 26th January:  Coffee Morning and Craft Club.  From 10.15 a.m. in church – come and create or just chat.

Friday 26th January, 6.30 p.m.: Choral Evensong, led by the Choristers. Please come and support our choristers as they sing the first of their Treble Voices services for 2018. This service replaces Said Evening Prayer.

Further Notices

Saturday 27th January: Charities Lunch will raise funds for the Loo Block Twinning Project.

The menu will be Chicken casserole with mashed potatoes & veg. A choice of desserts, a glass of wine or fruit juice followed by tea or coffee. All for £5. Lunches are held in Church House at noon. Everyone welcome.

Sunday 28th January:  Burns’ Night Celebration in the bar from 7.30 p.m.  Traditional haggis, neeps and tatties will be served.  No need to book in advance and there will be a nominal charge to cover the cost of the food.

Saturday 3rd February, 5 p.m.: RSCM London Young Voices Festival Choral Evensong. Please come and support our choristers as Christ Church once again hosts this fabulous gathering of young singers from across London to sing Choral Evensong. The joint choirs will be directed this year by Andrew Carwood, Director of Music at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Sunday 4th February, 3.15 p.m.:  Enfield Deanery Choral Evensong with the Choir of St Paul’s Cathedral, at All Saints Parish Church, Church Street, Edmonton.

Advance Notice for Planning!  The Legendary Vicar’s Pre-Lent Quiz is coming on Saturday 10th February.  Please start assembling your teams of eight to compete for the prestigious rose bowl trophy.  The evening will also feature the truly terrible raffle, where you can pass your ghastly and unwanted Christmas Presents on to someone else and make money for the Bishop’s Lent Appeal in the process.  Any and all donations for prizes are welcome!  Tickets will go on sale shortly at the usual £50 a table, or individuals at £8.

Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th February – The Choir will be singing the weekend services at St George’s Chapel Windsor. Saturday Choral Evensong is at 5.15 p.m. The three Sunday services are at 10.45 a.m. (Mattins), 12 p.m. (Choral Eucharist) and 5.15 p.m. (Choral Evensong).
