World War 1 Lives Remembered

As part of the WW1 centenary we have been using our parish magazine and the records of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission as well as documents at the Enfield Local Studies Centre to find out more about the lives of the 146 men listed on our WW1 memorial.

EXHIBITION BOARDS
The exhibition boards below (click to view online) tell some of their stories. The link allows you to download the boards and print them at a larger scale. Much of the research has been carried out by others and curated as part of this exhibition. A special thank you to Stef Dickers at the Bishopsgate Institute for all his help scanning documents from the Wensley Archive and to everyone else who has given permission to use the photographs.

MAP SHOWING HOMES OF THE FALLEN
This map shows the homes of the fallen, where known. As part of our project we have written to the residents of these homes today, to let them know about their link to the past. Download a high resolution version here.

ROLL OF HONOUR
You can download our current Roll of Honour (still a work in progress) here. Please let us know if you can help fill in any of the missing information.
