First Sunday Breakfast following the 8 a.m. Eucharist.
Lent Course following the 8 a.m. Eucharist. The course, ‘Transformed by Christ’ will be led by the Vicar in Church.
Sunday School meets from 9.45 a.m. during term time in the Walker Halls.
Pizza Lunch following the 10 a.m. Eucharist. Don’t rush to prepare Sunday Lunch; stay, chat and enjoy salad, wine or soft drinks, and La Vita’s delicious pizzas.
Choral Evensong at 6.30 p.m.

Tuesday, 9th March: Social Responsibility Committee meeting from 8 p.m. at the home of Hilary Meur.
Wednesday, 19th March: Lunch Fellowship Fellowship in Church after the 11 a.m. Eucharist. Coffee, followed by a talk by Ann Fereday about ‘Iran and the 1999 Eclipse’ and a lunch of sandwiches and puddings. If you intend to come, please let Lynda (8886 4811), Hilary (8360 2362) or Judith (8882 3335) know. All welcome. Cost £3.
Thursday, 11th March: Young Fogeys’ Ploughman’s Lunch in Reception Room at Noon for 12.30 p.m. Please let Jean Thomas (8368 6638) know if you plan to attend.

Thursday, 18th March: Book Group will discuss ‘The Little Strangers’ by Sarah Waters. The group will meet from 7.30 p.m. at Joyce Maggiulli’s home. Newcomers are very welcome.
Saturday, 20th March: Charity Lunch in Church House at noon for 12.30 p.m.
Lent Course following the 8 a.m. Eucharist. The course, ‘Transformed by Christ’ will be led by the Vicar in Church on either Sunday mornings or on midweek evenings. Following the 8 a.m. Eucharist on Sundays: February 21, March 7, March 21. Or weeknights at 8 p.m.: Tuesday, February 23, Tuesday, March 9, and Monday, March 22.
Furniture 6 The Green: Any furniture donated for use in the Church flats will be disposed of on 27 March. If you would like to reclaim these items, please contact Philip Way (8360 5876) by that date.
Flower Arrangers: More help is needed in arranging and watering the flowers in church. If you would like to volunteer, please could you contact Lynda Rigg (8886 4811). Training is offered if you have not done this before; even help simply with watering the arrangements would be very welcome! Help is particularly needed for Holy Saturday (April 3rd), when the Church is again decorated with flowers after Lent.
Fast for Tear Fund: Lynda Corcoran completed a 24 hour fast last Thursday. If you would like to sponsor her retrospectively, please make a donation in the bucket at the back of the Church.
The 2010 Diocese of London Lent Appeal will be supporting ‘ALMA’s Children’ in our partner dioceses in Angola, Lebombo and Niassa. ‘ALMA’s children’ works with orphaned and vulnerable children, the building of schools and nurseries, and funding health centres and health education. If you wish to contribute, there is a bucket near the font at the back of church.
Next of Kin: If you live alone and would like the parish office to have the details of your next of kin in case of an emergency, please fill in one of the cards available at the back of Church. You will need to ask your next of kin if they are happy with Christ Church holding their details. No one else will see the details and we will not pass them on to anyone else. After you have filled out the form, please hand it to Cathy Dallman.

The Christ Church Association Bar: New Members are always welcome. We always stock a good range of soft drinks, so why not bring your families and friends along to the bar for normal opening times or for our special events. The Christ Church Association Bar is open at the following times throughout the year:
Wednesdays 8:00pm - 11:00pm
Fridays 8:00pm - 11:00pm
Sundays 7:30pm - 10:30pm
Please Note: It is a legal requirement that all who purchase drinks from the Top Step Bar are Christchurch Association Members. Guests of members need to be "signed-in".
