The Vicar
The Reverend Peter Jackson is 53. He read Theology at St. Peter’s College, University of Oxford and later trained for ordination at St. Stephen’s House, Oxford. He served as a curate at St. Michael at the North Gate, Oxford and St. Matthias, Malvern Link, Worcestershire.
From 1982 until 1989, he was Chaplain of Aldenham School, Hertfordshire. From 1990 until 2001, he was Chaplain and Head of Religious Studies at Harrow School, Middlesex.
He has broadcast for the BBC, written for national and church newspapers and is the author of a number of books. He was also Chairman of the children’s charity REACT and founding Chairman of ISRSA (the organization for Religious Studies teachers in independent schools).
Before coming to Christ Church in July 2003, he was the Director of Christian Education and Associate Rector of St. Patrick’s Parish and School, Washington, D.C.
