In 1962 the choir made a recording to ‘mark the centenary year of the Southgate Parish Church’.
The recording featured the Vicar The Rev’d Murray McLeod reading from Ecclesiasticus Chapter 44 with the bells in the background, as well as a ‘small but representative group of the choral and organ pieces sung and played … during the course of the year’. These included ‘Come Holy Ghost’ and ‘Rejoice in the Lord’.
The Organist and Choirmaster at the time was Peter Branker, the accompanying notes list all those involved in the recording.
