The 6th Southgate (Christ Church) Scout Group comprises Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. The groups meet in the Scout Hut at the Walker Ground. Their aim is to enrich the lives of young people and bring to them the opportunity of adventure and challenge. Their program consists of activities and games, community service, adventure, challenge and the opportunity to learn new skills. They provide a balanced program of learning opportunities but most importantly believe scouting should be about having fun!
Our Scout Group joins us for our annual Remembrance Sunday service and supports our May Day Fair, running the BBQ and helping on other stalls. In turn the church support the Scouts with their fundraising and social action projects.
