Courses at Christ Church
Confirmation courses, both youth and adult, are organised on demand. Courses are being planned for Autumn/Winter 2019, with a view to confirmation in the Spring of 2020, but they are also suitable for simply finding our more about the faith. If you are interested in taking part or finding out more, please contact Fr Chrichton.
A Lent course is offered every Tuesday evening in church after the 7.30 pm Eucharist. In the recent past the courses have been based on discussing a feature film – where we all join together to watch the film at the beginning and the end of the course. Films we have used so far have been The King’s Speech, Chocolat and The Greatest Showman. The subject of the course in 2020 will be announced in the notices.
In 2019, a feature film based course will be offered as a preparation for Christmas on Tuesday evenings after the 7.30 pm Eucharist. Fans of The Miracle on 34th Street have not got long to wait.

Christ Church is a member of PSALM – Project for Seniors and Lifelong Ministry. In their own words, they provide “lectures, workshops and seminars with the specific aim of addressing matters of interest and concern to people over 60 and those who minister with this age group. There are no age restrictions to attend PSALM events or to be a PSALM member. All PSALM’S workshops have a particular relevance to the issue of ageing and are supported by well-designed group work and informed insight.”

St Edmund’s Course in Christian Studies
A number of our regular members have had a very positive experience on the St Edmund’s Course in Christian Studies – in one case leading to licensing as an LLM. It is held on Wednesday evenings in Lombard Street over 2 years. For more details see
